After completing a law degree at Cambridge University, Lydia completed her training contract at the magic circle firm, Allen & Overy LLP. She then spent ten years practicing as a private client lawyer, first at Allen & Overy LLP and then at private wealth boutique firm, Maurice Turnor Gardner LLP.
Lydia has extensive experience working on complex asset holding structures, and is closely involved in the design, establishment and ongoing administration of these structures. Lydia has a diverse client base and works with a wide range of international high net worth individuals and family offices. She specialises in complex trust matters (complex in both a structural sense and in the context of family dynamics).
Whilst in private practice, Lydia was twice named as one of Private Client Practitioner’s “Top 35 under 35” and featured in the Citywealth IFC Powerwomen Top 200 list. She was described in this year’s Chambers and Partners High Net Worth Guide as “fantastic……[she] brings the intelligence of a lawyer who is really specialised in trust and offshore tax, but also the empathy of a natural trustee”.
