We are delighted to welcome Padraic Doherty as Managing Director of our Ireland office. In his new role, Padraic will be responsible for managing the Dublin office, as well as building out our structured and asset finance capabilities in Ireland.
Padraic has over 20 years’ experience in the capital markets industry. Prior to joining us he spent 14 years at Maples in the Fiduciary Services unit, and was responsible for a wide range of structured and asset finance transactions across US, European and Asian markets. His capital markets expertise includes cash and synthetic CDOs, loan securitisations, re-packagings, managed accounts and cross‐border investment platforms. Previously, Padraic worked within JPMorgan Chase's Trust division in a variety of roles including Global Product Manager and Head of Administration.
Nick Cawley, our Regional Head of UK and Ireland, commented: “We are thrilled to have someone of Padraic’s calibre as head of our Dublin office. He joins us at what is an exciting time for Ocorian but is also, sadly, an unsettling time for the world at large. We are sure Padraic will steer our Ireland operation through current global challenges and take this key part of our business forward.”
On his appointment, Padraic Doherty said: “It is unusual to be taking on a new role during such difficult times. But we have an amazing team in Dublin who are not only providing essential support to our clients right now, but also supporting each other through the crisis. Looking ahead, I see many opportunities for our Dublin based operation and am looking forward to working with clients to help them achieve their goals.”
Our Ireland team supports both clients and intermediaries at every stage of a transaction’s life across a range of capital markets solutions including aircraft finance, securitisation and corporate debt funding to life settlements, holding companies and cross-border financing. It also provides Employee Benefit Trustee and Employee Ownership Trust services to a large portfolio of clients.
