Job Description

Purpose of the Job:

Take ownership of a diverse portfolio of clients while delivering high-quality accounting and financial reporting services across a range of asset classes, including Capital Markets, Real Estate and Private Equity structures. As a Senior Fund Accountant, you'll play a key role in supporting clients through the preparation of financial statements, management accounts and reporting deliverables that contribute to informed business decisions and exceptional client outcomes.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accounting professional looking to deepen their technical expertise while developing their leadership skills. You'll work closely with clients, auditors and colleagues across multiple jurisdictions, contribute to the development of junior team members and help drive service excellence within a collaborative and supportive environment.

Main responsibilities:

  • Take ownership of a portfolio of clients, building strong relationships and delivering a high standard of accounting service.
  • Prepare and review financial statements, management accounts and accounting deliverables in accordance with relevant accounting standards.
  • Apply your technical expertise to reconciliations, financial reporting and client accounting activities across a range of complex structures.
  • Partner with clients, auditors and internal stakeholders to support the efficient delivery of accounting and reporting requirements.
  • Review accounting records, reconciliations and VAT returns, supporting quality and consistency across client deliverables.
  • Provide guidance and support to junior colleagues, contributing to knowledge sharing and professional development within the team.
  • Support audit processes through collaboration with auditors and the preparation of relevant documentation.
  • Contribute to budgeting activities, client reporting and a variety of accounting projects and initiatives.
  • Maintain high-quality working papers and documentation in line with established accounting and reporting standards.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across multiple jurisdictions to deliver a seamless and consistent client experience.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance processes, improve efficiency and strengthen service delivery.
  • Contribute to a culture of continuous learning, collaboration and client service excellence.

Qualifications Required
  • ACCA, ACA or equivalent professional accounting qualification, or relevant accounting, audit or financial services experience.
  • Experience within financial services, accounting or audit, with exposure to Capital Markets, Real Estate, Private Equity or similar structures considered beneficial.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience

  • Experience preparing and reviewing financial statements, management accounts and client accounting deliverables within a professional services or financial services environment.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting standards, including IFRS and US GAAP; exposure to UK GAAP or other accounting frameworks would be beneficial.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with clients, auditors and stakeholders while delivering a high standard of client service.
  • Experience supporting and developing colleagues through coaching, guidance and knowledge sharing.
  • Strong technical accounting, financial reporting and reconciliation skills, with a focus on accuracy and quality.
  • Experience working with accounting and fund administration systems; exposure to platforms such as Efront, ViewPoint or Value Financials would be advantageous.
