Job Description

Purpose of the Role

You will play a key role in helping alternative investment funds meet their regulatory obligations under the Alternative Investment Fund Managers Directive (AIFMD). Working across a diverse portfolio of fund structures, you will provide critical oversight, cash monitoring and asset verification services that protect investor interests and support fund compliance. You'll gain exposure to a wide range of investment activities, legal documentation and operational processes while working closely with clients, intermediaries and internal stakeholders.

Main Responsibilities

  • Review and assess fund governing documents to understand regulatory and operational requirements.
  • Perform daily cash monitoring activities across client bank accounts, identifying and escalating exceptions where required.
  • Verify and maintain records of both financial and non-financial assets throughout their lifecycle.
  • Conduct oversight reviews of fund operations, controls, procedures and reporting to ensure compliance with governing documentation and investment guidelines.
  • Review key fund transactions and documentation, including subscriptions, capital calls, distributions, investments, invoices and NAV calculations.
  • Prepare quarterly and annual client reports, providing clear updates on ongoing activities and AIFMD compliance.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, fund service providers and other intermediaries, delivering a high standard of client service.
  • Take ownership of assigned client portfolios while supporting wider team objectives and business priorities.

Qualifications Required
  • Degree-level qualification in Finance, Accounting, Business, Law or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Experience maintaining accurate records and working with internal systems and processes would be beneficial.
  • Ability to analyse complex legal, financial and operational documentation, identify key issues and draw sound conclusions.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, and excellent attention to detail. 
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships.
  • A proactive and solutions-focused approach, demonstrating confidence to take ownership and drive tasks through to completion.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess situations and determine appropriate actions.
