Job Description
Purpose of the Job:
Join Ocorian's Client Accounting team and play a key role in delivering high-quality financial reporting services to a diverse portfolio of clients across multiple jurisdictions. This is an excellent opportunity to build on your technical accounting expertise, take ownership of increasingly complex client deliverables, and develop your leadership skills by supporting and mentoring junior team members. Working closely with colleagues, auditors and management, you'll contribute to the accurate and timely preparation of financial information while helping maintain the high standards of service and quality our clients expect.
Main Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review bookkeeping entries, reconciliations and accounting records to support the accurate production of financial statements and management accounts.
- Deliver financial statements, management accounts and VAT returns in accordance with relevant accounting standards and client deadlines.
- Review the work of Junior and Assistant Accountants, providing guidance and support to help ensure quality and accuracy.
- Liaise with auditors and assist in the timely completion of audit requirements and related queries.
- Support the preparation and review of client deliverables, ensuring compliance with Ocorian standards, procedures and quality expectations.
- Partner with colleagues and management to resolve accounting matters, support client needs and contribute to team objectives.
- Assist with ad hoc accounting projects and provide accounting services to clients across various jurisdictions.
- Contribute to the development of junior team members through coaching, knowledge sharing and day-to-day support.

Qualifications Required
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- ACCA or ACA qualified, or degree-qualified in Accounting, Finance or a related field, with relevant accounting, audit or financial services experience.
- At least 4 years' experience preparing client accounts and financial statements within a professional services or financial services environment.
- Strong technical accounting knowledge, including IFRS; exposure to UK GAAP and other accounting frameworks would be advantageous.
- Excellent organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy and quality.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the confidence to collaborate effectively with clients, auditors and colleagues at all levels.
- Desirable: Experience with Navision, Viewpoint, ValueFinancials or similar accounting systems, along with a genuine interest in mentoring others and continuing professional development.
