Our compliance subsidiary, Newgate Compliance Limited, is delighted to be a sponsor of the Guernsey IoD Mid-Term event, taking place in Guernsey on 13 March 2024.

The Guernsey Branch of the Institute of Directors (IoD) will focus its 2024 Mid-Term event on the intersection of artificial intelligence (AI) and corporate governance, and will delve into the governance issues related to AI.

The event will be attended by Alison Dodd, Paul Ford, Rachel Gardiner and Cilla Torode, representing Ocorian and Newgate Compliance Limited’s RCL team.

Rachel Gardiner, Head of Prescribed Roles at Newgate Compliance commented about the event: "We're delighted the IoD has chosen AI and governance as its mid-term focus. Our recent survey amongst senior regulation and compliance executives shows that AI is not only revolutionising almost every aspect of financial services but is also being used by the many alternative fund managers they partner with in their compliance and risk procedures. As the regulatory landscape becomes ever more complex we will partner with our clients as they face fresh challenges and opportunities. The IoD’s upcoming event promises to be a fascinating exploration of these themes and we’re glad to be supporting the event."

If you are interested in setting up a meeting either at the event or at your convenience, be sure to get in touch.
