About
Marcus Hallan joined Ocorian Law (Cayman) Limited as Counsel in September 2026, bringing over a decade of experience working on complex offshore banking, finance and corporate matters across the Cayman Islands and the British Virgin Islands.
Marcus advises on fund finance and structured finance, acting for an established client base of international lenders, borrowers, leading asset managers, and global financial institutions. Marcus also offers significant corporate finance expertise, having advised on a range of private and public M&A transactions involving Cayman Islands vehicles, including high-profile private equity transactions in the Gulf region and several multi-billion-dollar cross-border mergers. His capital markets experience spans equity capital markets work — including Cayman Islands IPOs and SPAC listings on NASDAQ and the NYSE — as well as debt capital markets mandates involving structured note programmes and debt listings on the Cayman Islands Stock Exchange.
Prior to joining Ocorian Law (Cayman) Limited, Marcus practised in the BVI and Cayman Islands offices of leading international offshore law firms and began his career in the corporate finance department of Travers Smith LLP in London.
