Ocorian expands capital markets offering in the Americas

We are pleased to announce that as a result of sustained growth, we have significantly expanded our presence and capital markets capabilities in the US and Cayman Islands.
Entry into the US
In March we acquired Emphasys Technologies Inc (ETI). The acquisition marks our entry into the US and enables clients operating in the capital markets space to benefit from additional services including:
- Structured finance analytics
- Bond administration
- Loan portfolio accounting and consulting
Building a robust and accessible service platform in the American market is one of our key strategic priorities. The acquisition of ETI reflects our commitment to providing clients with a complete end-to-end service solution for their capital markets operations.
We are also bolstering our operations over the coming months with the addition of a US-based sales team and relationship manager, who will provide local contact points for both new and existing clients.
Expansion of our Cayman Islands team
We are delighted to welcome a string of new hires to our Cayman Islands capital markets team.
Kareem Robinson joins us as Client Director and will work alongside existing Client Director, Tracy-Ann Lamont to lead the delivery of proactive administrative solutions to our capital markets clients both in the US and globally.
Throughout his career, Kareem has held senior capital market roles at various global corporate and fiduciary firms and brings significant technical and practical experience from working across the CLO, debt issuance and asset finance (aviation and shipping) sectors for over 20 years. He has also previously served as the Deputy Head of the Securities Supervision Division at the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority and has been involved in several key regulatory initiatives, giving him a deep understanding of the offshore regulatory environment.
The team will be further strengthened with the addition of two further client service professionals at Vice President level to accelerate and support growth in this sector. In addition, we are also bolstering our legal services division with the hire of a new capital markets partner, who will enhance our capability to provide in-house legal advice to capital markets and corporate clients.
