Gareth Thomas

Gareth is the Managing Director of Ocorian's British Virgin Islands office. He is responsible for the oversight and management of the service delivery, operational activities and organisational strategies within the BVI offices.

Gareth joined the company in January 2014 from Ogier Fiduciary Services (BVI) Limited, where he was Managing Director as well as having Group Service Line responsibility for Corporate Services in the Caribbean and Hong Kong.

Prior to Ogier (BVI), Gareth was the General Manager of Codan Trust Company (BVI) Limited. He started his career in London with PricewaterhouseCoopers in their Company Secretarial Division and later joined Schroders plc as Manager in their Investment Trusts Department. Gareth then moved from the UK to pursue a career offshore, starting in Bermuda before making the British Virgin Islands his permanent home in 2002.

Gareth holds an LLB Law Degree, is a Fellow of the British Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (ICSA), and is a qualified Trust and Estate Practitioner (TEP).Gareth sits on various BVI Committees such as the Company Law Review Advisory Committee, the Financial Services Institute Advisory Committee and was the Founding Chairman of the ICSA BVI Branch.
