Job Description
Purpose of the role
The mission of this role is to provide MLRO and regulatory advice services to Ocorian consulting clients in Luxembourg. At its core you will act as responsable du contrôle (RC) for a range of client funds, but your role will be varied and you will be expected to be willing to undertake the many tasks that arise when part of a flexible consulting team.
Main Responsibilities
- Responsibility for the delivery of the RC and regulatory advice service to Luxembourg clients;
- Assume the RC function for both regulated and unregulated client investment funds as required and as per CSSF circular 18/698 (subject to the approval of the CSSF);
- Regularly attend board meetings for the governing bodies of client investment funds, providing reporting and updates on topics of anti-money laundering/counter terrorist financing;
- Build and maintain strong on-going relationships with clients;
- Provide compliance support to clients including ongoing monitoring of compliance in accordance with the Compliance Monitoring Programme;
- Provide support to other members of the team;
- Assist with the development of the profile of Ocorian through marketing and event planning, assisting in, and leading, compliance reviews, assessments and documentation drafting (as required);
- Understanding and summarising regulatory change and writing articles for our newsletters and/or client communications;
- Taking part in and leading client visits, meetings and training sessions; and
- Keeping up to date with current regulatory developments and informing clients as necessary.
Qualifications Required
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- University degree in finance/economics or law
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role
- Excellent communication skills in English, with German being a considerable advantage
- Ability to work efficiently and independently
- Fast learner with strong analytical, methodical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent organizational skills
