Job Description

Main Responsibilities:

You will be responsible for developing, interpreting and visualising data required by the business

  • Working with colleagues in the Business Intelligence team, and wider SL teams, to develop pricing / revenue optimization initiatives
  • Identifying new uses of existing data to grow BI capability and provide actionable insights to senior leaders
  • Gathering end user reporting and data requirements
  • Interpreting data to understand the headline conclusions to support actionable recommendations
  • Communicating insights to senior management and across the organisation
  • Liaising with internal stakeholders to identify areas of the business that could benefit from analysis
  • Reviewing data collection processes, assessing the validity of the information stored, and cleaning new datasets
Qualifications Required

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • Working knowledge of data warehousing & ELT processes / tools
  • Experience in SQL, data visualisation software, ideally Power BI inc. DAX preferable
  • Hands-on practical experience of data visualisation software, ideally Power BI inc. DAX
    • Alternatively, demonstrated strong experience in interpreting and communicating data in a general report setting and an aptitude for quick learning
  • Analytical with a creative mind and attention to detail
  • Experience in interpreting data to draw out insights
  • An understanding of how to most appropriately communicate/visualise data through choice of graphs and charts, with an appreciation of the target audience
  • Good communication with non-technical stakeholders to understand what is required and discuss technical work in an understandable way
  • Enjoys independent problem-solving and overcoming challenges.
  • Initiative to proactively tackle barriers, explore new solutions, and expand the range of work currently undertaken by the team
