Job Description

Main Responsibilities

  • Acting as senior support to the Conducting Officer – Head of Client and Portfolio Services, in the oversight of the portfolio management function of the company, to:
      • Support the successful execution of investment transactions by the CPS team;
      • Assist with the digitalisation of our AIFM services, taking an active role in the development of the AIFM’s technology stack, including the implementation of NextMatter as well as a portfolio management tool;
      • Provide support in resource management and the management of the team in general.
  • Acting in a support capacity for the successful onboarding of new client mandates from an AIFM perspective, including (but not limited to) providing support on the following tasks:
      • Onboarding of new mandates, ensuring all AIFM-related requirements have been completed (client due diligence, contractual arrangements, client acceptance committee);
      • Operational implementation of new mandates (ensuring that an operating memorandum is established by the appointed fund administrator and the depositary, as appropriate. 
  • Initiate a process improvement initiative for the CPS department, including (but not limited to) the implementation of the following tasks:
      • Critically reviewing existing policies and procedures; assessing where there are gaps; closing those gaps through the creation of new policies and procedures;
      • Creating a practical handbook / manual of CPS tasks, responsibilities and activities, as a comprehensive guidebook that compiles and gives an overview of all CPS responsibilities distilled from various procedures of the Company;
      • Transforming the transaction approval process at AIFM level into an efficient work-flow process, using tools such as NextMatter.
  • Providing hands-on client and portfolio management services for several high-profile and strategic client mandates in the alternatives sector (Private Equity / Real Estate / Infrastructure / Debt / Fund of Funds), ensuring customer satisfaction and development of the client relationship.

Qualifications Required

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

 

  • University degree in economics or law
  • Minimum of 7 years of practical experience with Luxembourg AIFs
  • Minimum of 5 years work experience with an AIFM
  • Experience with team management in financial services
  • Experience in communicating with clients in a high-profile environment
  • Experience in process design and implementation
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Fluency in written and spoken English and German or Italian
