Purpose of the job
The Software Developer will have expertise in .NET, Azure Cloud, and Automation Services. As a Software Developer, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining software applications that leverage the power of .NET framework, Azure Cloud, and automation services to deliver innovative solutions to our clients.
The Software Developer will help deliver high quality and consistency across data, processes and reporting in all business areas and jurisdictions. He / She will produce and maintain clear and succinct systems and integrations documentation. Where custom development is required, this role will produce clear specifications, including use and test cases, for developers working in an Agile DevOps oriented development environment and ensure appropriate quality testing.
The ability to work logically and efficiently is essential. The role involves interactions at all levels of Ocorian and with external parties, so a personable nature and good communication skills are highly necessary.
Main responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain software applications using the latest .NET frameworks and technologies.
- Write clean, efficient, and scalable code that follows best practices and industry standards.
- Develop and maintain complex databases, API integrations, and web services.
- Participate in the entire software development life cycle, from requirements gathering to deployment and maintenance.
- Carry out data analysis and data migration between legacy and new line of business applications including NAVOne, iManage, eFront, etc. with results to be overseen by the Head of Development. This includes working with the Integration workstreams to achieve the necessary objectives.
- Deliver application integration and data exchange between the new line of business applications including drawing up specifications, developing integration or migration scripts including unit testing, support for user testing where appropriate and documentation of all interfaces.
- Deliver integration and automation with other internal/external services including Client Portals and Tax / Regulatory Reporting.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies, frameworks, and industry trends and incorporate them into software development processes.
- Optimise the capture of core client data into the appropriate applications to support the compliance and risk reporting models consistent with Group standards and initiatives.
- Work with the Business Process workstream to develop and implement cross-application core standard workflows that deliver standard business processes across all jurisdictions.
- Work with the workstream lead to maintain project tracking for regular project reporting.

Qualifications Required
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 4 years of experience in software development.
- Experience in developing web applications using Azure Cloud Services.
- Strong proficiency in .NET frameworks, C#, MVC, Web API, and SQL Server.
- Experience with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Angular or React.
- Experience with DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and containerization.
- A proven track record of application migration and integration, preferably in a fiduciary or financial services business.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience of general application migration and integration, especially applications based on Microsoft SQL server with web-services based APIs so strong SQL skills are a must.
- Experience with Automation platforms such as Power Automate.
- Must be quick and effective with the self-motivation to tackle tasks independently wherever possible.
- A willingness to support the future growth and success of the Group.
