Job Description

Purpose of the Job

We are seeking an experienced Head of DevOps to support our digital delivery and technology teams, ensuring the highest standards of best practice in sprint planning and execution. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring on time delivery of business critical programmes, utilising Asana or comparable planning tools alongside the Microsoft DevOps platform. This is an exciting opportunity for a strategic thinker with a proven track record in large, cross-jurisdictional organisations..

Main Responsibilities

  • Oversee sprint planning and agile delivery across multiple digital and technology teams.
  • Champion and enforce best practices in DevOps and agile methodologies.
  • Ensure seamless coordination between development, operations, and delivery functions.
  • Utilise Asana, Microsoft DevOps, and similar planning tools to manage workflows, monitor progress, and track deliverables.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities to optimise processes and enhance team performance.
  • Support cross-functional collaboration across jurisdictions, managing complex stakeholder relationships.
  • Develop and maintain metrics to measure sprint effectiveness and delivery outcomes.
  • Mentor, coach, and develop DevOps professionals within the organisation.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, tools, and technologies to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Keep current with the latest technologies.
  • And any other such duties that might be reasonably required for this role

Qualifications Required

Knowledge, Skills & Eexperience

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience managing DevOps in a large, cross-jurisdictional organisation.
  • Expertise in agile methodologies and sprint planning, with demonstrable success in digital delivery environments.
  • Strong proficiency in Asana, Microsoft DevOps, and other relevant planning and workflow management tools.
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate high-performing teams across multiple locations.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strategic mindset with a hands-on approach to problem-solving and process optimisation.
  • Relevant degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline (preferred).
  • A willingness to support the future growth and success of the Group
