Data Migration Test Analyst
Company Description
Job Description
Purpose of the Job
We’re seeking a meticulous and analytical Data Migration & Reconciliation Test Analyst to support the modernization of ETI’s legacy securitization systems and the migration of deal processing onto EMPIRE—our next‑generation Azure-based platform supporting MBS and ABS (RMBS, CMBS, consumer ABS) structured‑finance processing, cashflow analytics, and investor reporting.
This role is deeply embedded within the transformation team and will work cross‑functionally with developers, ETI analysts, and business stakeholders to ensure data accuracy, reconciliation completeness, and smooth migration execution. You will be the connective layer between data, technology, and operations.
Main Responsibilities
- Execute detailed data‑level and file‑level testing between ETI legacy MS Foxpro systems and EMPIRE.
- Perform structured reconciliations for MBS/ABS datasets, including loan‑level files, pool‑group aggregations, cashflow waterfalls, and remittance/investor reports.
- Conduct field‑by‑field comparisons across CSV, Excel, fixed‑width text, and other structured formats.
- Work directly with ETI analysts to clarify business rules, validate exceptions, and confirm expected results.
- Partner with EMPIRE developers to provide clear, actionable defect reports, reproduction steps, annotated deltas, and validation notes.
- Maintain a curated library of golden datasets, expected outputs, test cases, and regression packs.
- Support migration governance by preparing reconciliation summaries, variance logs, and go/no‑go evidence packs.
- Participate in recurring stakeholder meetings to report testing progress, risks, blockers, timelines, and confidence levels.
- Track issues through resolution and retesting, ensuring accurate end‑to‑end validation.
