Job Description

PURPOSE OF THE JOB
Support the accounting requirements of a portfolio of client companies, including asset finance and capital markets special purpose vehicles (SPVs). Ensure the timely preparation and delivery of clients’ financial statements, while effectively managing client relationships and audit processes. 

Work closely with the Client Services and Global Operations teams to prepare financial statements and respond promptly to client queries. 

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Preparing annual financial statements and management accounts in line with relevant accounting standards.
  • Posting final bookkeeping entries and completing year‑end ledger close‑down procedures.
  • Reviewing working papers and financial statements as part of quality control.

  • Liaising with Client Services, Global Operations, and auditors to ensure timely audit completion.

  • Maintaining and updating financial statement templates in accordance with accounting principles.

  • Reviewing final accounts prior to delivery to clients or advisers.

  • Providing guidance on ad‑hoc accounting, reporting, and technical queries (e.g., going‑concern, impairment, ECL).

  • Assisting with Corporation Tax, VAT, 46G, RTD, iXBRL, and RCT filings.

  • Preparing SPV/FVC reports for CBI regulatory submissions and staying current with accounting and regulatory developments.

  • Supporting the Head of Client Accounting and contributing to service improvements and ad‑hoc projects.

Qualifications Required

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Qualified or currently studying toward a recognised accountancy qualification (e.g., ACCA or ACA).
  • Experience in a fiduciary, corporate services, or similar financial environment.
  • Strong technical understanding of accounts preparation, accounting standards, company administration, and Irish Company Law gained through study and practical experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients and colleagues at all levels.
  • Experience with Navision and ValueFinancials is desirable.
