Job Description
For this job we're accepting applicants based in Belfast and London.
Purpose of the job
We are seeking an End-User Computing (EUC) Engineer with practical experience in managing user endpoints, including laptops, Azure Virtual Desktops (AVDs), and mobile devices. In this position, you will play a key role in maintaining and optimising our current endpoint environment, as well as supporting efforts to identify and address vulnerabilities across all user devices within the organisation.
You will contribute to the development and implementation of strategies to transition legacy endpoint setups to modern cloud-based platforms, in line with our strategic objective to consolidate device management and enhance the user experience. This will involve assisting with projects to migrate users to cloud-hosted desktop and mobile device management solutions, whilst ensuring these changes are smoothly integrated and securely operated.
Working under the guidance of the Senior EUC Engineer and collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will help ensure the reliability, security, and compliance of all user endpoints. You will participate in initiatives to modernise and streamline device provisioning, patching, and support processes, and support the adoption of best practices in endpoint security and configuration. The ideal candidate will have solid technical knowledge of endpoint management solutions, experience with vulnerability management for user devices, and a strong interest in supporting cloud migration strategies for end-user computing environments.
Main responsibilities
Endpoint Platform Engineering
- Support the design, build, and maintain standardized laptop configurations (Windows and/or macOS)
- Own endpoint provisioning and automation (zero-touch builds, enrollment, rebuilds)
- Engineer and support Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) / VDI platforms
- Manage mobile device platforms (iOS, Android) using MDM/MAM tooling
- Ensure endpoint platforms are highly available and performant
Security, Compliance & Resilience
- Implement and maintain:
- Disk encryption
- Secure boot
- Endpoint hardening baselines
- Partner with Security to:
- Enforce endpoint security standards
- Support vulnerability remediation
- Ensure compliance with SOC 2 / ISO / internal policies
- Support endpoint logging, monitoring, and incident response
Operations & User Experience
- Act as escalation for complex EUC issues
- Troubleshoot performance, stability, and access issues across laptops, AVDs, and mobile
- Work closely with Operations to improve incident response and reduce repeat issues
- Maintain clear documentation and self-service knowledge articles
Lifecycle & Optimisation
- Support the Senior EUC Engineer with ownership of endpoint lifecycle activities:
- Hardware refresh and retirement
- OS and application upgrades
- License optimization
- Improve reliability through automation and proactive monitoring
- Identify opportunities to reduce cost, complexity, and operational toil
Continuous Improvement & Strategy
- Support the Senior EUC Engineer:
- Evaluate new EUC technologies and tools
- Contribute to EUC roadmap and strategy, including:
- Virtual desktop expansion
- Mobile-first enablement
- Cloud-first endpoint models
- Support operational standards

Qualifications Required
Required
- 2+ years in End-User Computing or Endpoint Engineering
- Strong experience managing:
- Corporate laptops (Windows and/or macOS)
- Virtual desktop environments (AVD, Citrix)
- Mobile devices (iOS, Android)
- Hands-on experience with:
- MDM/MAM platforms (Intune)
- OS deployment and automation
- Endpoint configuration management
- Strong customer empathy and user-experience mindset
- Methodical problem-solving approach
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Comfortable working across Security, Engineering and Operations
- Pragmatic and automation-focused
Preferred
- Experience working in security-conscious environments
- Proficiency with:
- Endpoint hardening standards
- Vulnerability remediation workflows
- Audit and compliance support
- Experience with:
- Azure AD / Entra ID
- Conditional Access
- Endpoint identity integration
- Understanding of hybrid identity and device trust models
