Job Description
Main Responsibilities
- Strong understanding of trust regulatory requirements and adherence with Ocorian's policies and procedures
- Ability to comprehend trust deeds
- Administers a portfolio of trusts with billable time averaging 5.5 hours per day
- The ability to conduct Trust Reviews, investment reviews, and ongoing-transaction monitoring
- Ability to review and understand trust financial statements
- Reviews all appropriate bank statements and arranges for monies to be placed upon deposit as necessary.
- Ensure billing and collection of receivables
- Ensures accuracy and detail of trust records, the trust file and computer database.
- Attends to all incoming correspondence within 3 working days.
- Attends to client needs and prepares and holds meetings, as required.
- Liaises with all interacting intermediaries including corporate administrators, bankers, protectors, investment managers/advisors, settlors and beneficiaries.
- Displays a mature approach to complex trust administration and high volume client workload.
- Takes an active role in personal development and company development
Qualifications Required
QUALIFICATIONS
- Formal trustee qualification (TEP or ICSA) or other related university or tertiary qualification.
- A minimum of 5 years’ trust administration experience demonstrating the ability to use initiative and work independently.
- Broad knowledge of trust and estate administration, including corporate trusts, together with accounting and investment knowledge.
- Assists with training and developing staff.
- Possesses good teambuilding and organizational skills.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite of programs, specifically MS Word.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- The ability to deal effectively and courteously with clients, attorneys and colleagues, and exercise discretion and confidentiality in all matters.
