Job Description

You will deliver depositary services across a diverse range of fund structures, ensuring full compliance with the Alternative Investment Fund Managers Directive (AIFMD). This includes supervising the overall administration of the funds, safeguarding their assets, verifying ownership and maintaining records for other assets, as well as monitoring cash movements. Your responsibility is to make sure all depositary duties are carried out in line with applicable regulations and industry standards.

Main responsibilities

  • Conduct daily monitoring of cash movements across client bank accounts.
  • Ensure safekeeping of Alternative Investment Funds (AIF) assets and verify ownership both at acquisition and on an ongoing basis.
  • Maintain an accurate and up-to-date register of client assets.
  • Perform oversight checks on key processes, including valuation of shares, subscription and redemption, income distribution, investment restrictions and timely settlement
  • Prepare detailed quarterly reports for clients, outlining activities and compliance with AIFMD requirements.
  • Guarantee that internal procedures and controls remain aligned with applicable laws and stay informed on regulatory updates and industry standards.
  • Continuously review and enhance depositary procedures, oversight programs, and checklists.
Qualifications Required

Knowledge, skills and experience

  • Strong organizational and time management abilities, with an understanding of depositary processes. Capable of taking ownership of assigned tasks while recognizing issues that require escalation to the Manager.
  • Professional demeanor with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to address client needs effectively. Skilled in clear and appropriate communication tailored to the audience.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy, ensuring diligent data collection and precise record-keeping.
  • Problem-solving mindset, able to assess situations and identify alternative solutions to achieve objectives.
  • Genuine interest in financial services and working within a regulated environment.
  • Proactive approach, demonstrating initiative and accountability for managing client portfolios.
