Job Description

Purpose of the job 

To support the Directorship team (for Funds) and be accountable for the operations and services standards, whilst creating strong, profitable and personal relationships with clients. To implement and develop service offerings to clients in the investment funds area in conjunction with the service line lead.

Main Responsibilities

  • Organizing board meetings, preparing agendas, compiling meeting packs and drafting meeting minutes.
  • Assisting with fiduciary responsibilities relating to funds director and trustee appointments, including reviewing resolutions, agreements, reports and financials, as well as keeping track of regulatory deadlines and updates.
  • Undertake business development and onboarding activities including providing quotations for potential client engagements, gathering KYC/CDD documentation, and setting up clients on Ocorian’s systems.
  • Preparing and submitting FATCA/CRS and economic substance filings on behalf of clients.
  • Providing direction to the corporate administrative team in relation to fiduciary appointments.
  • Undertaking administrative tasks such as client billing, maintaining client records and updating databases.
  • Supporting the accounting and liquidations service lines as required.
  • Expanding the scope of services provided to existing clients and ensuring the smooth running of the services offering.
  • Performing any such other activities as may be reasonably required by the role.
Qualifications Required

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • A degree and a minimum of 3-5 years industry experience preferably in the funds sector.
  • A professional qualification or certification in law, investments, accounting or AML would be advantageous.
  • Thorough knowledge of regulations relating to the funds sector in Cayman.
  • In-depth understanding of corporate governance.
  • Excellent client relationship and interpersonal skills.
  • Team oriented with the desire to thrive in a diverse, dynamic and collaborative environment.
  • Experience in MS Word, Outlook, iManage and corporate administration database software (preferably Viewpoint).
  • A strong sense of commitment and responsibility.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills i.e. thorough command of the English language including excellent spelling, grammar and punctuation.
  • Sound organizational skills.
