Purpose of the Job

Working as a member of the global Human Resources team, the HRBP will provide tailored generalist HR support and advice to allocated business lines in Ireland and the UK. With support from HR Leadership where required, the role holder will translate business strategy and workforce planning into HR initiatives, ensuring that Ocorian follows a best practice approach to people management and is compliant with all relevant legislation. 

Main Responsibilities

  • Build collaborative relationships with internal clients by handling various HR queries throughout the business, responding to any queries or problems and managing expectations
  • Analyse HR data (trends and metrics) to support the development and enhancement of solutions, processes, and programs to address current problems and avoid future ones
  • Support managers in identifying development needs
  • Monitoring, reviewing and updating all HR policies and ensuring these are in line with current legislation
  • Support the HR team with various capability investigations, including grievance and disciplinary
  • Assist in organising employer branding initiatives
  • Act as the point of contact for hiring managers, employees and other HR team members
  • Support the local MD in Employee Engagement initiatives and assessments

Qualifications Required

Knowledge, Skills & Experience 

  • Proven work experience as an HR advisor or similar role
  • Sound interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively and sensitively with colleagues at all levels of the organisation
  • Hands-on experience with HR systems
  • Practical and logical; able to solve problems quickly
  • Strong organisational skills, including planning and time management to enable effective prioritisation of multiple activities
  • Proficient user of Microsoft office suite of applications (including intermediate Excel)
  • Working knowledge of UK Employment Law essential 
  • Relevant HR qualification(s) - ideally CIPD level 3
  • Educated to a minimum of A level standard or equivalent
