Salary Range
$175-225k base salary
Purpose of the job
As a hands-on Finance Director, you will have responsibility for region wide financial control (incl audit), cash management, financial analysis and working with the US leadership team in driving efficiencies and the strategic direction of the Americas business. Reporting directly to the Global FD, the successful applicant will be expected to oversee the day-to-day finance needs for the region working closely with the Capability Team in Mauritius and the FP&A business partners to deliver a quality finance service to Ocorian business.
To assist with the Group's financial reporting to ensure management accounts, budgets, forecasts and associated KPIs and financial analysis are complete, accurate and provided on a timely basis and also to support the Client Accounting team as required with adhoc tasks as the customer base grows.
Main Responsibilities
Financial Control & Governance
- Monthly reporting: Ownership of all regional processes and controls that deliver monthly financial reporting. Responsible for delivering accurate and timely financial information.
- Financial Controls: Ensure the Americas Region has adequate financial controls in place that are sufficient to ensure completeness and accuracy of the financial reporting using the capability centre in Mauritius who deliver the services of AP & AR, Billing and Financial Control.
- External audit coordination: Responsible for all aspects of the statutory audit cycles for Bermuda, Cayman & BVI and the Group audit needs for the US entities.
- Integration support: Support the M&A Team on US acquisitions and integrating any entities acquired.
- Standardisation: Continually look to improve and standardise the financial processes within the region working closely with the Capability Centre in Mauritius.
- Analysis: Work with the FP&P team to prepare the budget & forecasts and drive performance in the region.
Tax & Treasury
- Strategy: Provide oversight and strategic direction from the US viewpoint to support global initiatives around the Treasury and Tax function.
- Cashflow Reporting: Responsible for cashflow reporting for the Americas Region and assisting where needed to drive the cash collections process working closely with the Service Lines/Credit Control Team.
- Transfer Pricing: Participate with the wider Finance Team in the Development, maintenance & delivery of the global transfer pricing policy.
Finance Leadership
- Assist with building a Best in Class global finance function instilling a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration with the wider Ocorian business.
- Build and develop relationships with business and other functional leaders, customers and external agencies (e.g. Auditors, Banks, etc).
- Positively respond to both our internal and external customers (often in a matrix environment) through effective communication and personal accessibility/credibility.

Qualifications Required
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- +10 years post qualification experience with a preference of industry experience
- Deep technical knowledge accompanied with broad commercial awareness and intuitive business sense.
- An established leader / people manager with experience of managing remote teams.
- Preferable experience of working within a PE backed business, or a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills along with a commitment to working as part of a global team.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- A solution driven attitude to managing problems & ability to work using own initiative and make decisions within strict corporate policies and procedures.
Competencies
