Bedell Trust has been awarded the Gold accreditation as part of the STEP Employer Training Scheme, one of two recent awards the firm has received for its commitment to nurturing skills and training within its organisation.

The STEP award was presented at the inaugural STEP Employer Forum attended by over 25 industry representatives and organised by STEP’s Employer Engagement Team in collaboration with STEP’s Jersey branch. STEP’s Employer Training Scheme is currently in its pilot phase and aims to help any accredited employer deliver the best possible learning outcomes for both staff and their organisation.

STEP Vice Chairman and Chair of the Professional Development Committee, Rosemary Marr, presented the accreditation certificates to six successful firms including Bedell who were represented by Rachel Godel, HR and Training Officer.

Bedell Trust has also been recognised by Skills Jersey for training, receiving a Platinum Award for training and developing the workforce and providing work placements and opportunities to students, young adults and those with disabilities or special needs in the community. Bedell are the only local organisation to hold both accreditations.

Rachel Godel commented:

"Nurturing the skills of our employees is a priority at Bedell Trust and a key focus is to provide a supportive environment to enable all employees to apply their knowledge and skills while taking advantage of our extended learning resources. We are delighted to have been recognised by both organisations for the quality of our training programmes and for our commitment in supporting the personal development of our people".
