Event details

Organised by the National Chapter of the African Union’s Economic, Social & Cultural Council (ECOSOCC Mauritius), this interactive workshop will bring together key industry stakeholders from eastern and southern Africa to formulate the recommendations to be addressed to the AfCFTA Secretariat.

The operational phase of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) was launched at the 12th Extraordinary African Union Summit on 7 July 2019. ECOSOCC Mauritius has as mandate to bring African Union policies and programmes at grassroots.

The workshop will also see the launch of a platform “Business Boost Africa” whose core objective is to connect the business community with start-ups with a view to promote intra-Africa trade.
