Ocorian licence extends Middle East service to give clients access to ADGM financial free zone

Ocorian licence extends Middle East service to give clients access to ADGM financial free zone

In a further expansion of its Middle East offering, Ocorian is now - from 20 October 2018 - licensed in the Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM) to deliver a full suite of corporate services, management consultancy, accounting and tax consultancy services.

As a licensed corporate services provider, Ocorian can now assist individuals, families and multi-national businesses wishing to establish presence and/or structures in ADGM, including the provision of a registered office address.

In particular, the licence allows Ocorian to set up and service legal structures such as Foundations – for those looking for asset protection and legacy planning solutions – as well as the popular ADGM SPV, a commonly used offshore holding for securitisation, real estate investment, asset transfer, financing and risk sharing – as well as raising capital. The recent execution of an Memorandum of Understanding between ADGM and the Dubai Land Department (allowing ADGM entities to own properties in Dubai) will further boost the relevance and use of ADGM entities.

Leading Ocorian’s dedicated local team is Nina Auchoybur, Managing Director - UAE, who brings over 20 years’ experience working in the Global Business sector and serves as director on the board of several multi-nationals in the UAE.

“The ADGM provides a dynamic and progressive investment gateway for those wishing to structure secure regulated transactions in, and out, of the African market,” explained Auchoybur.

“Ocorian’s understanding of these markets, supported by its expanding global network of offices, means that wherever and however you want to structure your investment – we can tailor a solution for you.”

Global expertise delivered locally

Ocorian’s Middle East operation (formerly Abax Corporate Services) opened in UAE in 2010 to provide a 'one-stop-shop' to those wishing to establish and expand their business there.

Harnessing the skills of 11 permanent local staff (supported by a further 700 experts globally), Ocorian offers a diverse range of services from fund administration and corporate structuring advice to company formation and secretarial services.

These include:

  • Company Formation Services
  • Company secretarial services
  • Fiduciary services
