Ocorian further expands Luxembourg funds business with two senior level hires

Our recently-appointed Head of Luxembourg and the Netherlands, Jean-Marie Bettinger, has further strengthened his local leadership team with the appointment of two well-known figures in the fund administration and depositary market: Graham Dew and Yves Cheret.

Graham Dew joins as Head of Depositary Services and will play a key role in leading and shaping our new depositary service offer (for which the CSSF license is imminently pending). Graham brings 30 years’ experience in the banking, maritime and funds industries, with a particular focus on alternative asset classes gained in London and Luxembourg with Ermitage, Rothschilds, Fortis, JP Morgan and Vistra.

“I’m excited to join Ocorian and to drive and build out its depositary service,” Dew explained. “Ocorian is committed to growing a robust and responsive fund service offer for the Luxembourg market, and a localised depositary service is central to that.”

Graham is joined by Yves Cheret, our new Executive Director - Authorised Manager in charge of our fund administration service in Luxembourg. Yves has worked in the alternative investments industry for over 10 years and has extensive knowledge of private equity, real estate and venture capital. He is also fluent in five languages: German, French, Luxembourgish, English and Dutch.

Explaining his decision to join the business, Cheret said: “I was very impressed by Ocorian’s fund service offer but especially its technology solution, which is very different to anything else available in the market. They’ve also got a great book of business which I think has enormous potential for expansion.”

Both Dew and Cheret will report to Jean-Marie Bettinger who joined Ocorian in March this year, tasked with supporting the company’s ambitious global expansion plans through the growth and development of its operation in Luxembourg. “This is an exciting time for our business,” Bettinger explained. “We are building an impressive portfolio of services and an experienced and professional team to deliver them in what is an attractive, but still complex market.”
